Product Analyst & Project Manager

  • Discipline: Systems Design Engineering
  • City: Waterloo, ON
  • Degree: Bachelor of Applied Science
  • Email: yjsomani@uwaterloo.ca

I first discovered my passion for project management and operations at my first co-op, where I spearheaded project management and product development at a startup, Jobby. I was able to delve into the world of B2B, business operations, and client management, where I helped implement a CRM system to track pipelines, increasing our client base by 200+%.

Though I discovered this in my first co-op, I've always loved managing a team and hustling to get things running - this carries through in all aspects of my life. I'm a big believer in giving back to the community, and ran a math program with United for Literacy, a national nonprofit, for most of my high school career.

Since then, I've pivoted to engineering roles to increase my technical skills, introducing me to the land of data analysis, frontend development, and business technology!

Apart from my love for the work I do and school, you can find me walking through the forest with my dog (catch a pic in the Gallery!), travelling the world, baking up a storm in my kitchen, or curled up by the fireplace, nose deep in a book.
